One of my favorite tasks is to be a confirmation photographer. I love working with young people. There are so many different possibilities for images. You can meet at the church and take pictures just after the confirmation service. You can take pictures at the party or you can plan something special on another day and photograph when the light is perfect. That’s what I’m writing about today.
Krogstrup Church is located close to Skibby in North Zealand. I found the church the weekend before when I went to Egholm Castle with my family. When I looked out of my car on my way home, I saw the church. My jaw hit the floor. The church stood in the middle of a golden rapeseed field. A long gravel road runs through the field and up a small hill to the church. The road almost calls out, “Come and see!” I was nearly speechless and that photographer in my head started screaming, “You must come back with client!!” I realize that this sweet church looks quite similar to many other Danish churches, but on that day it was perhaps the most beautiful place I have seen in Denmark. It was absolutely perfect for confirmation photos!
I was so lucky that Sienna and her mother were ready for a little adventure. It took less than an hour’s drive from Copenhagen, and then we stood in the middle of the rapeseed field. We took pictures while the sun set behind the trees. I love to take confirmation photos right after the confirmation. It’s super cozy, but you also have a party with family and friends and it is sometimes not possible to drive far away on the day. But if you plan it right, you can do both and get a little adventure out in stunning nature.
